Education Intern

We are a small, microschool serving elementary students in a personalized, small-group setting. We are seeking a motivated college student majoring in Education (or related field) who desires hands-on classroom experience in an alternative education model.

This position is ideal for someone who loves children, values structure, and wants meaningful, practical teaching experience.

Mission of the Role

The intern’s primary mission is:

To protect the structure, the culture, and the documentation of our microschool.

This includes leading morning routines, supporting student behavior, and managing student work documentation so the lead teacher can remain focused on instruction and leadership.

Schedule

Mondays & Tuesdays

9:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Fall 2026 Semester August to January

Spring 2027 Semester January to May

Responsibilities

Morning Leadership (10:00–10:30)

• Lead pledge, calendar and highs/lows
• Set daily expectations and tone

Behavior & Transition Support (10:30–3:00)

• Support outside instructors (10:30–12:30)
• Manage transitions and minor redirection
• Provide proximity support for students as needed
• Assist during lunch supervision

Documentation & Organization

• Photograph and upload student work
• Maintain organized digital folders
• Track completion of assignments
• Assist with portfolio organization

End-of-Day Reset (3:00–3:30)

• Finish uploads
• Tidy and reset learning spaces
• Prepare materials for next week (as needed)
• Draft weekly parent recap (as needed)

Compensation

• $16 to $22 an hour based on experience

Ideal Candidate

• Education, Child Development, or related major preferred
• Loves working with children
• Organized and proactive
• Calm, confident, and consistent
• Comfortable in a Christian, biblical worldview setting
• Interested in microschool or alternative education models

Microschool Enrichment Instructor

Part-Time | Mondays or Tuesdays | 1-Hour Block (10:30–12:30 window)

Small Group | Faith-Based Microschool | California

We are a small, faith-based microschool serving elementary students in a personalized learning environment. We are seeking experienced instructors to teach 1-hour enrichment classes in specialized areas such as:

• Art
• STEM / Robotics
• Woodworking
• Music
• Drama
• Foreign Language
• PE / Movement
• Creative Writing
• Hands-on Science
• YOUR IDEA HERE

What We Offer:

• Small class sizes

Schedule:

Mondays and/or Tuesdays

Between 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM

(Exact hour assigned based on specialty and some flexibility available on a case by case basis)

Compensation:

$35–$65 per hour depending on experience and materials provided.
